Toni Galmés Martí was born in December 1983 in Manacor, Mallorca. He has always been attracted to illustration and comics and for that reason he decided to study Fine Arts in Barcelona.
After graduating, he obtained a doctorate in the history of the performing arts and taught drama and literature at the University of Barcelona and in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Since 2013 he has combined his teaching with storyboarding for film and advertising, but since 2017 he has immersed himself in editorial illustration, first with illustrated children's books and then with comics.
His first comic was published in Spain in 2023 by Astronave: Molly Wind, bibliotecarias a caballo (Molly Wind, Librarians on Horseback) and was translated into French under the title Molly Wind, bibliothécaire du Far West (Dupuis).
He has recently published, also in France, the first part of Quand la nuit tombe (Delcourt), an album entirely in watercolors.
The second part will be published at the end of 2024.
