Zona Utopia

The fantastic genre, understood as science fiction, fantasy and horror, is on the rise. In the last decade there has been a boom in publications and audiovisual productions of this type, allowing the normalization in the eyes of the general public of a genre that had always been considered a minority or "geek". Movies and series with fantastic elements are now more popular than ever, although often the general public is not even aware of it.

In this context, Comic Barcelona wants to explicitly recognize the fantastic genre by allocating a new space under the name of Zona Utopia. This way, literature will be the focus, but it will be closely linked to comics and cinema. The objective is that the lovers of this genre feel represented at the show, as well as to open the event to new audiences, especially young people.
