A regular contributor to the Spanish magazine El Jueves since 2011 and part of its editorial board since 2014, Juanjo Cuerda (born in Valencia in 1978) has created numerous covers and humor pages for that magazine dedicated to current affairs and the film critic section “The Movie Ripper”. His first compilation has recently been published by the publishing house Fandogamia.

He has also illustrated the adventures of Cecilia Van Helsing: La dieta del vampiro (Cecilia Van Helsing: The Vampire Diet) and El señor que tenía una oreja en la frente (The Man with an Ear in his Forehead) within the children's saga created by Julio A. Serrano and published by the publishing house Bang for the Mamut Collection dedicated to juvenile comics.

Juanjo Cuerda has a degree in audiovisual communication and a degree in animation cinema from the ECAM.
