Natacha Bustos

Natacha Bustos is a comic book artist who earned a degree in fine arts from the University of Granada. She first gained recognition as the co-author of Chernobyl: The Zone (Glénat España, 2011). In 2015, she started working in the U.S. market and won a GLAAD Award for Best Comic Book Character for her work on Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.

Since then, she has created comics for Marvel, including several issues of Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Runaways, Doctor Aphra, and Bounty Hunters. She has also created several covers and the miniseries Buffy the Vampire Slayer: Willow, alongside Mariko Tamaki, for Boom Studios.

She contributed to the graphic novel Black Panther: Into the Heartlands. Her first full-length comic is included in Marvel Voices: Legacy #1. In 2021, she joined “Stormbreakers”, a program created by Marvel Comics to promote its artists. In 2023, she will illustrate the miniseries Fire & Ice for DC Comics.

Her most recent collaborations include a short story for the second issue of the Marvel Comics comic SAI: Dimensional Rivals by Peach Momoko, as well as work for Scholastic and Mad Cave Studios.

In addition to her work as an artist, she co-curates the Gráficas! comic book conference with Esther Cruz. The conference is dedicated to female comic book creators and has been held in Málaga for the past three years.

In 2026, the publisher Finestres reissued her work Chernobyl in Catalan, and she was commissioned to illustrate the official poster for the 44th Comic Barcelona.
