Félix Delep was born on April 26, 1993. He earned a science-focused high school diploma and then spent a year at the Atelier de Sèvres before enrolling at the Émile-Cohl School.
 During his senior year, he considered becoming a painter. However, his encounter with Lewis Trondheim, a professor at Émile-Cohl, led Delep to publish a few pages of animal comics in Spirou.
Xavier Dorison discovered this work and asked Delep to illustrate Animal Castle, an animal comic series inspired by George Orwell’s Animal Farm and published by Norma Editorial.
