Daniele Marzo (Macerata, Italy, 1982), also known as Kong, grew up in Roma70, a neighborhood in southern Rome.
After earning a degree in architecture, he moved to Berlin, where he worked as an architect and devoted himself to creating comics, illustrations, and animated videos.
He then returned to Italy, first settling in Naples and later in Rome. Between projects, he continued writing stories. Animales a la fuga (Animals on the Run - Astiberri, 2026), his first graphic novel, was a huge success with the public and critics alike and was nominated for the 2025 Strega Prize.
