Aftershock, Skybound, Dark Horse, Boom! Studios, Marvel Comics… Since making his American debut in 2019 with the graphic novel Knights Temporal, Spanish comic book artist Fran Galán’s career has been on a meteoric rise.
In just a few years, his portfolio has grown to include legendary titles such as Carnage, Black Panther and The Amazing Spider-Man, as well as the critically acclaimed The Roadie and Dune: House Harkonnen. He has also contributed a short story to Image's Creepshow, which has been nominated for the 2023 Eisner Award for Best Anthology.
Having worked as an illustrator for several years, Fran Galán began his career as a comic book artist in 2016, creating covers and illustrations for El Torres’s Amigo Comics, as well as a one-shot based on El Bosque de los Suicidas (The Forest of Suicides).
His work in European comics also includes Goya, lo sublime terrible (Goya, The Sublime Terrible), for which he received several nominations and awards for Best Work and Best Spanish Artist.
His most recent works include Batman/Superman: Worlds' Finest, Pine & Merrimac, and Absolute Power: Task Force VII, which have received excellent reviews for their artwork.
