Fernando Trueba (Madrid, 1955) has directed films such as Opera prima (Debut Feature), Belle Époque (winner of nine Goya awards and an Oscar), The Girl of your Dreams, Calle 54 (54 Street), The Artist and the Model and Memories of My Father, among others.
He has also produced albums such as Lágrimas negras (Black Tears - Bebo & Cigala), Paz (Peace - Niño Josele), Bebo (Bebo Valdés) or Amar en paz (Love in peace - Estrella Morente).
Together with Javier Mariscal, he presents They Shot the Piano Player. The collaboration between the two artists after their first film Chico & Rita, an animated film also adapted into a graphic novel winner of the Goya for Best Animated Film that also received an Oscar nomination in the same category and won the European Film Award.
