Bamidala, born in Seville in 1986 and based in Barcelona, is an author and illustrator who has been producing and publishing fanzines since 2012. Her work is characterized by a visual language of bold shapes and striking figures that defy anatomy. These figures are brought to life through vibrant color palettes that contrast with narratives centered on the everyday and the unsettling.
With a career in managing collective projects, she has organized, edited, and participated in graphic activism initiatives such as GOGORATU, Crashed Asteroid, and Bronco Cómics. She has also contributed to anthologies such as Fanerozoico, ¿Por qué este fanzine cuesta 6 euros? (Why does this fanzine cost 6 euros?), Hanabi, Elles, and Trazo Bruto, among others.
She is the author of an extensive number of books, including Memora, Sisterhood, Missouri, Monroe, Huete, Penca y Raíz, and more. Her most recent works, Aparejo and Tocotó, were nominated for Best Fanzine at Cómic Barcelona 2026, reaffirming her commitment to self-publishing and her exploration of new frontiers in graphic narratives.
