Esther Cruz Santaella (Málaga, 1981) is a professional translator who works from English, German, and Modern Greek into Spanish.
In 2013, she added comic books to her portfolio, which already included fiction, biographies, travel guides, essays, and camera manuals.

She has collaborated with comic book publishers, including Salamandra Graphic, Reservoir Books, Barrett, and Fulgencio Pimentel, to translate books by authors such as Tove Jansson, Seth, Eleanor Davis, David Mazzucchelli, Nora Krug, and Max Baitinger and, of course, Mia Oberländer. Since 2023, she has been the co-curator, alongside Natacha Bustos, of Gráficas!, an event organized by the Andalusian Center for Literature that brings together female comic book authors.
