What do you imagine when you think of a scientist? Chances are that the first image that comes to mind is an older, white-haired man in a white coat, who is also absent-minded and careless.
Unfortunately, the stereotype of the scientist is deeply ingrained in the collective imagination, but do you want to know who scientists really are and how we work? Are we all men? Do we only do experiments? Do we always wear lab coats? Do we shout Eureka?
This exhibition tries to answer these questions through 15 illustrations created by different graphic artists, breaking the stereotypes about the figure of the scientist and showing the everyday life and the real diversity of the people who dedicate themselves to science.
The exhibition is organized by Ficomic in collaboration with the Institute of Bioengineering of Catalonia (IBEC) and is part of an outreach project funded by the European Union (GA: 101168976 - SPM4.0) and the Beatriz de Pinoso Program of the Secretariat of Universities and Research (Generalitat de Catalunya-2) 3, GA 801370).
