Drawing on the Women Comic Artists Collective's manifesto, this exhibition highlights creators' fundamental role as the driving force behind the comic book industry and visual culture. Without human imagination, talent, and creative work, artificial intelligence cannot exist or develop.
The exhibition reflects on creativity as one of the most extraordinary human traits, as it is the source of art, innovation, critical thinking, and empathy, and highlights imagination as a limitless space. However, it also analyzes how certain uses of generative AI threaten these values by promoting dehumanizing dynamics in service of specific economic interests.
The exhibition takes as its starting point the #STOPIAGENERATIVA campaign, launched in 2025, to denounce the massive exploitation of copyrighted works in AI system training. It also invites a deeper exploration of the debate on the social, cultural, and professional consequences in a context marked by growing legal vulnerability.
AI dehumanizes. Who stands to gain from this? is a space for critical reflection and a call to collective action. It aims to defend the rights of the creative and professional community and guarantee the fundamental rights of all people.
